How to book wheelchair assist from air asia

Travelling using wheelchair around not so easy, but that will be nice to share some experience of myself.

This is my 1st time my husband take a flight for travel since he was amputate. So, i was responsible to take care of him.
Booking flight ticket from Penang to Langkawi.
Don't forget to tick √ as we need special assistant for wheelchair service. 
Key in which criteria of yours.
So my husband was in paraplegic category which is free of charges.

We have to check in earlier at air asia counter to request for ambulift or aerobridge.
Our check in types was mark to *..because we are not able to check in at kiosk self check in.Need to check in at counter. 
I went to counter 27/28 at penang airport one day before depart.  
On the day our flight date, i came earlier 3hrs at the same counter again. Asking to request if they can provide aerobridge or ambulift. She said, aerobridge from MAB, not very sure if they can give or not. As my husband using own wheelchair, they don't provide assistant.After check in, our own wheelchair has been tag.
The auto seat assign as seat no 29D and 29E.
After i came again an hour before boarding, we have been given seat no 2E and 2F.

Half an hour before boarding, me and my husband begin to que at the front row. 


Now boarding time..still thinking how are they going to do. There is no aerobridge nor chairlift.
This is man's manual lift. Hopefully no one falling down.Anyway thanks a lot to all of them who contribute their energy to lift up my husband.

Two men lift up my husband to the seat,because seat no 1 already occupied. 

On the way back to Penang. .again to request for special wheelchair  assist. 
The step is quite easy. We just go to normal counter to get tag for wheelchair, and then proceed to boarding gate. 
I didn't choose the special zone seat, but they already reserved those seat to special person. 

Me and husband was called to go earlier than other passenger.
Me at the 1st row seat. Very spacious room for leg. 
Going out through aerobridge. I think only international flight will provide aerobridge, but for special case like this, they provided not only to my husband, but to every passenger onboard.

I will repeat to take air asia if they still consistant give better service to handicapped person.
The only bad things,there is no contact number for customer service for local flight.Only provided for DX flight..or else we have to tweet or email.
Customer service at specific area like Penang also not in service. 046434411.
I think not everyone is internet friendly user. Some may prefer direct communication.
Everyone can fly, yes it is. But everyone have right to voice up their concern by direct talk.
